Temporary 30mph Speed Limit & Road Closure – Goudhurst Road & Plain Road, Marden – from 25 July 2018 for up to 23 working days

Please note:Plain Road is closed at the junction of Goudhurst Road and the diversion is as posted. The speed restriction is on Goudhurst Road from 8 Brooklyn Villas to 2 Orchard Side.

Because of the installation of a new drinking water main, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Plain Road, Marden from outside 8 Brooklyn Villas to 2 Orchard Side. A temporary mandatory speed limit of 30 miles per hour will be imposed on Goudhurst Road between the junctions with Plain Road and Sheephurst Road on or after 10 February 2018 for up to 23 working days or until the works have been completed.

The alternative route is via B2079 Goudhurst Road/West End/Church Green/High Street, Howland Road, Albion Road and vice versa.
