Many thanks to the 27 residents of Loose (including 3 children), who worked tirelessly to collect 24 bags of rubbish, from the surrounding streets, on Saturday April 21. Your efforts were very much appreciated.
These twice-yearly events are essential to help keep the footpaths, streets and verges litter-free. The next joint event is booked from 2-4pm on Saturday September 22.
In the meantime, residents from the local community, supported by the Parish Council and other organisations, are looking to set up a volunteer group called Love Loose – Hate Litter. The aim is to encourage residents to adopt a small section of Loose and commit to clear it regularly of rubbish. Anyone interested in getting involved should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07855 000156.
