Tree Planting in Roy’s Wood on Saturday 25th February 2017 at 10.30am

The Loose Parish Council would like to thank all the enthusiastic volunteers who came along on Saturday, 25th February 2017 , and helped to  plant additional trees in ‘Roy’s Wood’ on Brooks Field, Loose.

Around twenty people attended the tree planting and included Alun Griffiths representing Kent Men of the Trees, who have very generously donated all the trees in memory of the late Roy Hood;  Rita Hood and family; members of both the Loose Parish Council and Loose Amenities Association; plus various friends and parishioners. Once these new trees are bedded in, an informational plaque will be made and then there will be an official opening ceremony.

Roy’s Wood is dedicated to the memory of the late Roy Hood, who lived and worked in the village all his life, and amongst other things served on the parish council for over 40 years.
